I am a sex-positive, LGBTQIA+ affirming psychotherapist with experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals across inpatient and outpatient settings. I identify as a Cuban-American/Latinx, Queer, Cis-male and enjoy working with clients of all genders and sexualities, especially LGBTQ+ individuals. I offer trauma-informed compassionate support to individuals sifting through the endless complexities of our modern life. I am dedicated to creating a warm, empathic and most importantly authentic space for you to safely explore yourself, including your mind and heart. I aim to create a space where you can freely express all of your painful and angry feelings nonjudgmentally. I bring many years of professional training and lived experiences which I incorporate into my practice to help you feel safe in exploring the ways in which you can build a more rewarding and fulfilling life. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I earned my MSW from the Columbia University School of Social Work and am a graduate of NYU’s Post Master’s Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) certificate program. Over my career, I have practiced in hospital-based inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings as well as community health centers . I work from a trauma-informed psychodynamic framework and have experience tailoring therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to meet the individual needs of my clients.
